web of light

today i saw:

- two of my best friends back home in aberdeen and the black isle via skype
- a cat on a leash
- a girl doing bicep curls using her Zara shopping bags as weights
- mounted police watching some incredible skating in the bondi bowl
- a van which had scrawled on the back - "always look out for number one, so you don't step in number two."...

...and, a magical web of light.

as you'll know if you've been visiting my journal, i have on many a november day wandered along the Sculpture by the Sea exhibition on the Bondi to Tamarama coastal path. i've really enjoyed viewing and blipping the sculptures and will be sad when it all ends on sunday.

however, i couldn't believe it today when i spotted this beautiful web, which i had never even noticed before! i saw it from below and as the sun was setting from behind, the jewels in the web were sparkling most brilliantly. there is no electricity involved here. no bulbs. just a wonderfully positioned, jewel emblazened web overlooking the bay.

it really was magical in the dusky light, and i knew today that this would be my blip.
