Monday Morning Blues

When I awoke this morning I could hear the rain on the roof window. It was dark and grey outside and there didn't seem to be any reason to get up early. However, there were jobs to be done so up I got.

Its amazing the good things that happen when you are up early. As I looked out the window while having breakfast, the dark clouds were breaking slightly and there were slivers of brightness towards the horizon. Out with the new camera and a walk down to the river estuary to see what colours might unfold from the sky.

I took a raft of shots, but after reviewing them settled on this one. The sun hadn't quite broken through and as a sea gull flew overhead it cast its reflection on the water.

I hadn't expected to see the sun today so a sunrise was a real bonus. Enough to wash away those Monday Morning Blues!
