They've come a long way, these erstwhile destructors of garden foliage but they're on the last leg!

Who will it be! The smart money has been on the caterpillar, he hasn't got his wings yet but he's got some swift moves with those tiny legs! But he does have a habit of stopping to munch before his tiny brain remembers it's a race to the finish!

The snail however has been relentless, no stopping to eat, but will he run out of energy before the end?

But what's this? No! It can't be!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen the Caterpillar is facing the wrong way!!! He's spotted a green leaf at the bottom and he's heading back down!!! The snail's got a chance!! He might just do it!!!

What? Snail's going to have a little snooze? Hard work carrying your home on your back but mighty convenient for a bit of a kip?
