A simple snap at lunchtime, whilst out to do a little grocery shopping. Known locally as the Black Bridge, across the River Ness. It's a short distance upstream from the Inverness Harbour.
I don't remember it ever being black, so it may have been named by the same folk that named the Black Isle. If so, they did at least correctly identify it as a bridge!
In flood conditions,I recall it being closed, as the water reached the horizontal sections. Worse case scenario is high river levels combined with Spring tides. The river backs up a fair distance at high tide.
