Leaping Lassies

The annual recital of Miss Angela's dancing students was on tonight - "Blackheath on Broadway", featuring music from famous Hollywood films and Broadway musicals. It really was most entertaining. It had everything from cute three year olds to teenagers 'en pointe', ballet, jazz, tap and that thing little boys like to do involving spinning around on the floor. We've seen most of these kids develop their technique over several years now and some of them are very good indeed.

I thought I'd take a few snaps - took about 300.

With so many to choose from (plus a couple of very good quality 'papparazzi' shots of a well-known celebrity that I took earlier in the day at the jazz weekend at the pub), why did I choose this one?
Well there wasn't a whole lot of light for most items, especially this one, and there are some adorable shots of the little ones in their tutus and so on, but this one seemed to have the energy that pervaded the whole show. This was a great routine - exciting choreography very well executed.

I dunno... it has colour and movement!
