Our daughter was asked to welcome the giant pandas Tian Tian and Yang Guang into Edinburgh Zoo. So were these two representatives from the Scout movement. They were certainly the two best flag-wavers of the day.

The pandas were about an hour late, but our daughter still soldiered on until the bitter end, despite her frozen-solid feet. Loads of press photogs there, and a few TV fim crews too. Including ITV News, who may have caught our daughter grinning away at the camera.
