Running in the snow
I don't usually like to blip so early in the day. I have so much planned today that I was going to wait, but I just couldn't resist!
This is one of my favourite things to do: running in the unbroken snow!
When I went to the window this morning, I smiled, put on my thermals, my special running hat and gloves and headed out with a smile on my face.
Sure, your legs get tired quicker, when you run uphill your heart feels like its screaming through your chest, you get excess phlegm and the dangers of slipping are huge, but you really know you're alive when you run in the snow. There's no feeling quite like it!
I ran without music listening to the crunch underfoot. As I was running home I saw 2 other runners coming towards me with grins on their faces. They know!
What a brilliant start to the day! I'm so happy!
I'm off to Glasgow for the weekend to stay with my friend Angela. We have Christmas markets, theatre, dinner and the pub planned. It's going to be a fantastic weekend :)
