Another year notched up!

Not a very inspiring birthday shot but I don't feel very inspired! I have a head cold and sore throat and the weather is just dreadful. The hairdesser rang this morning to cancel my appointment so I am going later in the day to a different girl, not happy with that but I just hope for the best. Any plans to do something interesting with the day have evaporated. First sleet showers this morning and now it's raining. I have finished the sweater I was knitting and now I am ready to start a new tapestry so it will be a cosy couple of hours in front of the fire instead.
Hoping to feel brighter later on as we are out for a 'birthday' meal in Thirsk at the wonderful Black Lion this evening. Once I have dug out the glad rags and the nearest thing I possess to 'killer' heels I'm sure I will feel a lot better!
