A bird in the bush...

...is worth half a bird in your hand? Or something like that anyway - it has been yet another day where it has mainly rained and been generally grey and miserable out, but yet again there was a brief spell of sunshine and blue skies. During this time I took this photo of a Nuthatch perched on the bush just outside the patio door (waiting to be fed I think)!

I took this shot through the glass...I did slowly open the door and try to take some shots that way, but my presence scared the birds off (understandable I am sure ;-), so through the glass it has had to be.

I have just realised how close it is to Christmas and to my work Christmas 'do' and have entered panic mode again. No cards written, half the presents not bought, and NOTHING TO WEAR! One of the down sides to losing weight! :-/

Ah well maybe I can dream up some sort of wonderful outfit and hope that by magic it will somehow appear ;-)
