Day 1 - Rotterdam

Dreadfully early start, with a 7.25 am flight from Heathrow, but before long we touched down at Schiphol, met up with Fi, and were on a fast train to Rotterdam. Checked in to the hotel (and found out a certain band were also staying there...), explored Rotterdam a little, then returned for power naps at the hotel.

Headed out to the Ahoy Arena for the main purpose of the trip - Coldplay in concert. Great venue, extraordinary show - what a live act they are now. 20,000 people with LED wrist bands that light up in time with the music turned it into one huge disco - a genius idea. Just great.
