Pohutukawa Flowers

No NZ Christmas is complete without reference to the pohutukawa tree.

It produces beautiful red flowers around Christmas time - that's summertime for those of you in the Northern hemisphere - and so is also know as the New Zealand Christmas tree.

A nice alternative to pine trees I think.
