Tradition
In addition to fireworks, casting tin is one of the Finnish New Year's traditions.
You melt the horse shoe and pour the liquid metal into cold water or even snow. The resulting shape of the piece of tin and its shadow are supposed to predict what the new year will bring.
Will be interesting to see what mine has to offer.
