New Year surprise

This morning my sister, niece and I set out to return a couple of things at the shops and have a Costa Coffee cuppa while out. However my niece suddenly felt ill and we returned to the house. Once back at my sister's home I had the biggest surprise ever - when I opened the door of the lounge I saw my three grandsons, daughter and son-in-law! They had all been in cahoots, my niece was not unwell at all, and I had been taken out of the house just long enough for the family to arrive after their 3 1/2 hour car journey from Reading to Lancashire. Purely brilliant.

They had brought bikes for the two eldest boys as I hadn't seen the middle boy riding a two wheeler before. Also it was the first time I had seen the youngest one walking. The blip shows my daughter and family while we were out for a walk along the creek.

I am a very lucky lady! Let's hope this is a good omen for the rest of the year. I set off for the last leg of my journey home tomorrow.
