Sól tér sortna,

This first line of the 57 stanza of Völuspá poem, The prediction of the prophetess, which is here, came to mind when I photographed this.
The Völuspá describes the creation and doom (Ragnarök) of the world. The line I refer to means - Sól tér sortna = The sun turns black - as the earth sinks in to the sea.
The photo is taken from an island now connected to Reykjavik. In the middle of the photo is the new (ugly) house of music, Harpa, and above it is the tower of Hallgrímskirkja, one of ten most beautiful churches in the world.
