Mr. Cisco

I'm watching my friend's dog, Cisco, this weekend. My friend adopted Cisco seven years ago - shortly after I received my dog Prise. Prise and Cisco are best mates. Actually, Prise is smitten with Cisco, even though he no longer has testicles, she desperately wants to have a love affair with him. Despite his age, I guess he still has sex appeal.

Today, we all went on a three mile hike and upon returning home, Cisco took a long nap on the sofa. He's tweleve years old and young in spirit. However, his body can no longer keep up with his spirit. I've noticed this weekend, more than before, how much he has aged. It's difficult to watch, but I try to remain in the moment and cherish the time I have with him.
