Impromptu day off.
Well, the mild January weather made me hanker after a vacation day. So, when I was offered it, I didn't need any bidding and my friend, K and I decided to go over to Scituate. K had been wanting to show me a wonderful shop she had stumbled upon, " Native, Scituate- Indiginous, Tribal and Folk Art" . It was quite the treat. I am allergic to most metals and therefore limited with jewelry. I was able to choose a pretty blue tagua nut bracelet. As an alternative to ivory, skilled artisans in Central and South America carve and dye the tagua nuts into jewelry, figurines and ornaments.
Very windy weather but extremely invigorating by the ocean. Nit wit, here, forgot her camera but the cell phone sufficed. It was glorious. There was a photographer out by Scituate lighthouse who had a very high end tripod and lens. I suspect he would have obtained some fantastic shots. Of course.
PS Sorry that I haven't been commenting that much lately but Blipfoto is very popular and having hiccoughs. Typically it's slow when I get home from work and relax for an hour or two. It's all good.
Happy Friday, Blipfriends. This blip really made me smile. Happy Birthday Whisper.
