I'm spending a few day's at my parents' to get some rest and visit the people I see way too irregularly. Today I met up with my dear friend J. for lunch and tea which was just like old times, although the subjects of our conversations have evolved from guys and school to relationships and work. On days like this I'm tempted to leave Rotterdam behind to move back here, but when back in Rotterdam I can't imagine I would even think that.
This is the Grote Markt, Groningen's main square. The buildings in the background (except for the church in the left) are being demolished to make place for a huge forum building, which will house a library, museum, a student society, a cinema and so on. The building will be very dominant and is quite controversial. I'm curious how it will turn out, but I think it's a shame of these iconic post-war buildings. But I'm aware a lot of people won't agree!
