... or, why I don't post pictures of my cat. Anyone who knows me would be astonished that I've blipped for over three weeks without posting a single picture of my cat.

Have you ever tried taking a photo of a black cat? It's nearly impossible. When he closes his eyes he becomes a black hole, absorbing all light. When he opens them he's either resolutely turning his back on me, or moving too fast to be captured. I've taken dozens over the past three weeks, virtually all of them destined for the recycle bin. In the end, I decided to use this, just slightly post-processed. But this, taken the day we adopted him, is a better photo!
