Northern Lights 2003

Been meaning to put this one up for a while. I must be able to find at least one decent pic per year of the past!

This was at the hotel & igloo village Kakslauttanen.

It was taken on neg film with a Nikon FE. 30 sec exposure. I could do about 3 shots before needing to dive into the igloo and warm up. The camera had an airtight bag to keep it cold between forays outside.
The Japanese consider that conceiving under the Northern Lights guarantees a boy so the other igloos were all taken by honeymooning Japanese couples..
