Ma'tam

Made a stop in Abu Saiba Village and spotted these Indian Men in the field and asked if I could take a photo of them. They were too happy and I promised to return to give them a copy.

The Ma'tam in the background can be seen and the red flag flying from it is a 'Hussein' flag, there since Ashura in November. The main difference between a Mosque and a Ma'tam is that the former is used for worship and wedding ceremonies, whereas the latter's purpose is for holding funerals and Ashura procedure. The beautiful blue tiling on the dome is typical of similar domes in Iran.
