Viaduct

This is a shot of part of the viaduct, taken from the Viaduct road bridge (basically where this was taken from. The viaduct was build in 1849 and carries the railway line to Harrogate - the line which used to go on to Thirsk until Beeching closed it in the 60s. You can still get to Thirsk via York, but apparently this line also used to go on to Ripon, where there is now no train line. This is a Bad Thing. However, I still get slightly overexcited going over the viaduct when on the train to Harrogate - it's just a bit cool....

This shot is also a celebration of the fact that it was light when I walked to work today!!!!!
