Tree of Life
Hope springs eternal; how else do we explain the longevity of the Tree of Life?
It's an iconic tourist destination, one of the very few natural sightseeing entities that the Kingdom possesses. With the disturbances, tensions and heartache we have all witnessed of late, perhaps we could take some real heart from this tree in the middle of Bahrain's desert.
To this day, no one is really sure exactly how The Tree of Life has managed to survive in the middle of a dry desert with no vegetation around it. "Where there's life there's hope - and, for The Tree of Life, it seems hope springs eternal, even where water doesn't."
Bahrain is an amazing little country. This land of two seas is the home to some of the friendliest and nicest people I have ever met. With the unrest and recent events, saddens me. Two seas that flow together, perhaps just two sects of the same faith divided, but, like the Tree of Life, where there is life there is always hope. And, with so many young, smart and intelligent people on the island, hope surely does spring eternal for a brighter tomorrow, for better days and for greener pastures.
