Bird In Hand

Eccles retains a concentration of pubs that seems almost incredible in the current climate of endless closures. The "Bird In Hand" is, perhaps, 100 metres along the road from the Packet House and across the road from two others, one of which is another Holt's pub.

As if that wasn't enough, the adjoining building, just beyond, is the Spinners' Arms.
