Or as perhaps more appropriately today, off to nursery went a lonely little cloud girl. Ready for World Book Day. Great big poster on the main door at nursery for the last three weeks asking parents to dress children as their favourite book character. So I made Katie a little dress to be Cloud Boy, after much discussion about what she could be. We got her leggings, a hat, painted her face. First fail, she didnt want to wear her dress, she got too hot. Second fail? Noone else at nursery remembered. Not even the staff. They were completely confused why Katie was in fancy dress and clutching a random book. By the time I'd gone (having washed off her facepaint, so at least she was just a child all in white, poor thing) there was a fireman sam. That's it. I was mortified for her!

But she looked adorable.
