Interior Time!
Well, looks like Rancho Gordo has a tenant before it's even finished! So we have a finishing date of mid May. Which means I now to start setting some serious deadlines and getting onsite at before 10am and doing full days, like finishing at after 5.
The outside is as done as it can be right now. Unless the future tenant is planning on living in a tent, it's the inside now that gets priority. What's left outside can be done at the end - or even (heaven forbid) after the tenant has moved in. More on that another day.
However, it's now full speed ahead on the interior. Should be straight forward - pull down 40 feet of wall, drywall 40 feet of wall, then gut the kitchen, pull down 20 more feet of wall, put up 20 feet of drywall, install new lounge/dining room/kitchen floor, put kitchen back (refinish cabinets), install a new counter top, install new power connections for stove, fridge and washer/dryer.
And I've set a target for the end of March - plus I'm losing a week in March as well.
What was today's great discovery? No flipping insulation in the walls! So tomorrow to ensure we keep to schedule I'll be taking down 40 feet of old drywall I was keeping in place.
We also discovered another new window today - where the aircon goes. Quotes for central air are on their way so we can put a window back in.
