MUSCOVY DUCK

In the park this afternoon. I bumped into Wally (yes, he was there!) from the choir, who told me that this old duck's mate was run over on the road a while ago, and now he hangs out with the Canada geese.

I'm sure I saw buttercups on my way home, but it was getting dark and I'd have had to climb a bank to check. Definitely not celandines. I shall investigate tomorrow. Watch this space.
