Day 69 - The Hepworth

The Hepworth Gallery opened in Wakefield in May last year. An unusual building which I drive past everyday on my way to work. I have to say that I wasn't impressed with the "thought" of this and found the building ugly during construction.

However, since opening it has become one of our frequent visit places. The kids love it. It has a great play area and is educational too so all good.

Surprisingly the more I visit the ugly grey building is growing on me. On Friday with the sun shining it looked extremely striking sat on the calm waters edge and I think I may finally be seeing what David Chipperfield architects it envisioned whilst designing it.

Whilst the boys were at school on Friday I thought it was a great chance for me to leisurely look around the new exhibit and take a few photos. Had quite a few which I could have chosen today's blip partly why I decided on a collage.

The photos were actually taken with my Nikon 3100 but I did the collage on my iPad and not found an app to retain the metadata - yet!!!!
