Ceci est un bookstall

At lunchtime today I ran a bookstall at a conference, and this is it on the way back to work, considerably lighter and less bulky than on the way there. A neatly rolled 2-metre-high display stand is in the backpack (which, obviously, goes on my back when I'm not taking photographs of it). That, along with the pannier and basket, can hold several hundred pounds-worth of books.

I just love this way of getting the bookstall around. And it was sunny!

Even better, the man in the background, adjusting boxes on the two trailers behind his bike, has just delivered sandwiches, fruit, and hot and cold drinks for 100+ people.

Peak-oil be not proud, though some have called thee
