Rosy and Meena

Rosy and Meena came for tea, with her father-in-law from India, Bhargavan. Little Meena (named for her grandmother) is nearly 4 months old.

Rosy Lamb's wedding was last April in Paris. She's an artist living in Paris--my second cousin once-removed, and so Meena is my second cousin twice removed (though i don't feelremoved form her at all!

Earlier today we went to the exhibition of Robert Doineau's photographs of LesHalles at the Hotel de Ville (Paris's magnificent town hall). Until the late 1960s, Les Halles was the enormous marketplace which supplied Paris with all of its food every day. Doisneau's marvelous photos mostly portray the merchants at the market.
