Unequivocal proof? Maybe.....!

Firstly, many thanks to everyone for all the lovely comments on my blip-birthday yesterday - it was very uplifting and I shall be sorry to see my two red balloons gone today!

Today I have exciting news (well, OK, probably not exciting to anyone except me!) as I think I have made an amazing discovery. My project test-tank is now teeming with water fleas. As the pond water in it was quite severely filtered and therefore there should be nothing in it but a bit of algae, I can only conclude that this is a new species which reproduces through air-borne spores.

Seriously, it was a bit of a shock to see them this morning as it means yet more of my original plan will need to be revised as I can't have rogue water fleas spontaneously generating in the middle of my experiment! And they're nigh on impossible to catch, as well, let alone count. I hope my tutor has something nice to say about it when she marks my assignment because I'm getting very panicky now!
