The weather has been splendid this last week and having variously helped out friends and family over the winter with planting apple trees, pruning forsythia and the like, it seemed that I needed to do something about my 2.5m by 3m little garden and terrace.
I was so inspired I went out and bought some plants and bulbs yesterday for the first time in my life. Browsing in the DIY/gardening store, I spotted a dahlia bulb called 'Franz Kafka' and couldn't resist, when it bursts into flower I'll blip it later on in the spring/summer.
This morning the weather was just perfect for a potting and tidying session. Having planted out some perennials in the long pots in today's blip, I devised an anti-cat device by using barbecue sticks.
I fear I may never reach the high levels of my mother's Scottish garden but one can aspire to green(er) fingers. Hence, I proudly blip my entire floral collection (it can only get bigger).
