Puddle

These are two flag stones made for the mill stone floors in Bradford but they have been helicoptered onto Ilkley moor and used as part of the Stanza Stones Project.

The poem is by Simon Armitage, its called Puddle and reflects the water-strewn landscape on the highest part of Rombalds Moor.

There are lots of carvings on the moor but nothing like this! Its quite strange when you come across a modern carving as opposed to the 2,000 year old ones. I quite like it actually.

I had two dogs today and we had a fantastic walk this afternoon on the moor looking for these flag stones.
