Not as planned...
Well, I shouldn't be bliping today. I shouldn't blipping well be here.
We are back at the apartment after a very frustrating day. A 5am wake up call, decent breakfast and we departed to the domestic airport for a 7,30am meet with out guide. Sat around, waiting to check in...which they informed us we couldn't do as no flights were going to Lukla due to wind. Oh.
Sat around for a few hours...and at 11am we were issued boaring passes and moved into the departure loune. A rather grand name for a large room with some metal seats and a few television screens acting as departure boards. Waited. And waited. And finally, at 5pm, we were told the flights were all cancelled and we should come back tomorrow. Crap.
So now we are home again, going to buy more beakfast for tomorrow and then out to dinner before another night of sleep which we dearly hope will be the last in Kathmandu for about eleven days. And in the nicest possible way, I don't want to be blipping tomorrow!
But, most importantly, I'm with Paul.
The disappointment is washed away by just being with him.
PS. Caption competition? From left to right...David (F-in-Law), Bex (Step-daughter), Paul (gorgeous hubby!) and Phil (our pal!).
