Canada goose nest

A visit to the pond today and a Canada goose has nested on the island.

I watched her stand up and rearrange a heap of feathers before swimming off to join Dad who was standing guard on the edge of the pond.

A few minutes later one of the male Mallards poked about in the nest and exposed an egg. He then stood guard until mum came back.
