Orange Tips In Flagrante
I took a few shots of a female Orange Tip that I would have been happy to post, and then a fine young male fluttered by and this was the result.
The Male, who sports flashy orange tips to the upper side of his wings (hence the name) is the smaller of the two, on the right.
The female, somewhat larger, on the left, has no orange on her upper wings.
They both have these wonderful mottled underwings that give perfect camouflage when they alight on Cow Parsley, one of their favoured plants for feeding, laying eggs and erm... other things too!!!!
