Day 5 in Oman

We headed up into the mountains to the south of Muscat. After heavy storm rains last night many parts of the road were either flooded or had debris spread across them from the water rushing across them. In typical Omani style this doesn't mean you have to use a different road, you just figure out how to get through it, normally through the water!

We came across this team in the middle of a clean up operation, very efficient and lovely to see everyone pitching in.

Our destination for the night was The View. A place up in the mountain with around 10 tents set up for a night 'glamping' under the stars.

We did discover however, that it can get chilly in the mountains at night and had to fashion a few duvet overcoats! We've obviously become too accustomed to the heat seeing as the temperature was still in the low 20's!
