Tuesday: Public Holiday

The rest of the country, apart from my office, was off today for Labour Day.  It was actually an excellent opportunity to catch up with loads of stuff.

I went out for a walk at lunchtime - it was roasting hot, and the city was absolutely deserted.  This corridor, which is part of the local university, is usually full of students - I have never seen it so empty.

Rae reminded me that I recently undertook to list my monthly reading in an effort to embarrass myself into greater reading activity, so.....
