Scarlet tiger moth caterpillar
Why have all the bank holidays so far been grey, miserable and wet? Couldn't even get to the local shops without using the car as it was so wet. Bumped into an old friend working in one of the shops (son number one and her daughter were Mary and Joseph in a nativity play a long, long time ago) and caught up on a bit of news.
Tackled the ironing in the afternoon and then managed to dash out into the garden when there was a brief burst of sunshine. I spotted this scarlet tiger moth caterpillar chomping its way through the forget me nots. I found one of these in our wisteria last year (Tiger in the wisteria). They are such hairy creatures.
