Courtyard with Purple Allium

At the Arboretum on Wednesday, the purple allium were blooming everywhere. I thought they looked especially bright and joyous against this yellow wall near the lily pond.

I also saw lots of purple iris, looking elegant; one catbird, singing its lungs out; several orange goldfish, playing tag among the lily pads; and one huge dragonfly, flying reconnaissance missions over the pond.
