Tawit Tawooo!!!

Thanks to my mate Simon and his superb map location skills, I was lucky enough to find one of the baby Tawny Owls near a lake in Newport. I'd almost given up hope in seeing the owl family after spending a good half an hour searching the tree tops and was on my way back to the car when hey presto, there it was! Could only spot one of the baby owls but it was so good to be able to see it. Don't think I've ever seen one in the wild before. Certainly a lovely peaceful place to call home.
After our little "owly" experience, me and eldest daughter headed over to the Wetlands to stock up on some bird food and go for a little wander up to the lighthouse.
