A reflection for today

For those of faith it is a fine prayer, simple but profound at one and the same time.  Even for those of no faith, change a few words and it is still a fine meditation.  I thought of this while contemplating the incomprehensible barbarism of the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris and the aftermath.  I thought of the families of the victims and their sense of rage and powerlessness, a sentiment no doubt felt by millions across France and the rest of the world.
