The Silk Mill, Derby

Having been spoilt for choice earlier in the week in Tuscany, it was back working in Derby today, where it is considerably harder to keep finding interesting photographic subjects.

Inspired by my success in finding some subjects in Birmingham city centre yesterday I strode optimistically into Derby city centre today. I soon realised however that Derby is considerably less photogenic.

In the end I opted for this view of the Silk Mill. The mill is now used as a science museum for Derby and on the blurb in the entrance purports to be the oldest factory in the world. I don't know quite how they work that out.
