Wind turbines convert kinetic power of the wind into electricity. It is clean, renewable and cost effective. They have been called ugly, noisy and a threat to nature. I personally think they look magnificent against the landscape and love to watch the blades turning when we are driving. I have never been close to one and I have always wondered if they were really all that noisy as the complainers say. I asked Hubby if we could drive up to them on our way back from the hospital this afternoon. The light was gorgeous with bright sunshine on one side and storm clouds in the other direction. We were able to park right under these and see for ourselves. At first I thought the noise wasn´t too bad but there was a high pitched hum that could really get on your nerves. That was standing right at the base, however, and I am sure no one would put one that close to ones house.
There were some signs for guarded optimism in our patient's condition today. Fingers crossed that there will be more progress.
