Wattle

It's been pissing down again so had to find a blip close to home.

This Wattle tree is growing just outside our front door. I have been excited to see it getting ready to bloom...I love watching the unfurling of all the tight little buds....(you've probably noticed that from some of my other flower blips).

This stage is the just getting ready to explode stage...everything is in check and still a little bit ordered and calm. Very soon this little part of the tree will be a riotous explosion of vibrant yellow.

I usually pick HUGE branches of this and put it in the house....it doesn't matter that it doesn't seem to last very long or that I have to clean up the mess it makes....It just makes me feel so HAPPY.

This year I won't be able to do that.....Jaiya has allergies...........we soon found the culprit (wattle) the other day after she sneezed herself nearly inside out.

The drop of rain on the bottom bud reminds me of an earring...very pretty.
I'm sure there will be many Australian blips of wattle but I will keep you posted on this particular tree.
