Lake?

This is Lake Jean in Ricketts Glen State Park - a bridge needed to be repaired, so the lake was slowly drained in order to make the repairs possible.  I've never seen a drained lake before - rather desolate.  It will be interesting to see it fill up again.  

This was another "cleaning out" day at my parents' house.  There was some rain while we were at the house, and right after we left, the skies opened up.  I got to a point where the rain was so heavy I couldn't see to drive, and there was water standing in the road.  Fortunately my sister lives nearby, so I drove to her house and waited with her and her husband (and had a tasty dinner) until things calmed down.  I got home very late, but safe.
