Backblip From The Archive: Buddha Bar

Following on from yesterday's backblip this was taken at a big soiree in the Buddha Bar in Paris the night before Scotand took on Brazil in the opening game of the 1998 World Cup. The crush outside the doors of this place was frightening as people jostled for a glimps of the stars. Luckily I had a press invite and managed to negotiate the masses and make my way towards the bar. A good night was had by all. Pictured is Scotland's present First Minister (then just the leader of the SNP party) Alex Salmond and Scotland's very own Hollywood film star, SNP supporter and secret agent 007 Sean Connery. (looking a bit the worse for wear I have to say although it was quite a party). The observant among you may just notice the back of Victor Meldrew's or should I say Richard Wilson's head.
