An old seaside kiosk
A strong contender for the best restaurant in Oban (in Scotland, even?) is the Seafood Temple. It is now under new management, and we have come back to see if it is just as good as before. It is!
I would have expected to feature one of their fishy dishes in today's blip, but I had to choose this dessert instead. A meringue with local fruits and a homemade honey ice cream - superb.
This is a very small place, just 18 seats. The views out towards Kerrera are stunning, especially on a bright evening like today.
It used to be a 50's beach kiosk, ice cream and toilets. Our friend, Mr jinty, has never been to this restaurant before; but he can remember it in its original incarnation when he was a wee boy on holiday in a caravan just along the road.
