The warmth of late spring returned for half a day at least. We ventured down to Roberts Park in the morning and then settled into an afternoon of games in the garden.

This Small Tortoiseshell looks like it's been battered by the recent weather, although it may still be a surviving veteran of last year as they can live for eleven months. The one I blipped last July was in much better shape.
