Garlic Harvest

This has been a good day!

One of the good things was noticing that the garlic was ready to lift. Last week I'd started getting worried because the garlic was throwing up flower spikes, a sign that it was too dry!!

This is only my third year of growing garlic, previous years have not been particularly successful so I had the bright idea of planting last October, it was doing well in April and it can now dry out for storing and I've got some free space to plant some Cavollo Nero (Black Tuscan Kale).

Another good thing today - it stayed dry and we saw some sunshine :-)
