Argey Bargey

Like the sail says, this must belong to Rolfe Judd (some London architects I think). It is of course an old Thames barge with it's familiar red sailcloth. The boat is named the Ardwina and although she has her sails up, I'm pretty sure she was using an engine at this point.

You can normally find the Ardwina moored at St.Katherine's dock near Tower Bridge, but this afternoon she is on her way to Ipswich, presumably to admire the Buttermarket:) Seriously though, for Ardwina, it is a trip back to where she was born built in 1908.

She competes in various barge sailing matches and while she is in the Ipswich area, I suspect she will be taking part in the Pin Mill barge race which is due to happen in the next week or so.
